There is a growing movement within Sydney that aims to redefine employee health and wellbeing to become inclusive of a number of physical, emotional and mental health issues. Since October 2006, every quarter Human Resource and Occupational Health and Safety executives from a range of large corporates, government departments and not-for-profit agencies, come together in Sydney to meet, learn, and talk about how they can improve the health and wellbeing of their employees. These people are representative of the growing movement to conceptualise employee health as broader than the traditional occupational health and safety concerns.
What does the Network do?
We invite leading health promotion experts to each quarterly meeting. One or two Network members are invited to speak to the meeting about health and wellbeing initiatives in their own workplaces. Additionally, Network members have access to a range of resources sourced by the Mental Health Association.
