Facing Anxiety Program (FAP)

MHA has a program for people with Anxiety called the Facing Anxiety Program (FAP).

Face your anxiety; we offer information, support, help and training (for volunteers or volunteer leaders). All at no cost.

FAP provides:

  • Anxiety Disorders Information Line 1300 794 992
    FAP provides statewide information and referral on issues relating to anxiety disorders. All calls are treated confidentially. You can remain anonymous if you wish, and no personal details are retained. You can speak to someone who understands.
  • Facing Anxiety Support Groups
    FAP run free support groups for people living with an anxiety disorder and their family and friends. We meet in a friendly, caring and supportive atmosphere to share experiences.
  • Facing Anxiety Self Help Groups
    FAP provides free 12 Week Self Help groups for people living with social anxiety, phobias, anxiety, panic and obsessive compulsive disorder. Self help groups are based on a structured behaviour therapy program.
  • Small Steps
    Small Steps provides free seminars about anxiety disorders for teachers and parents of primary school children. We also provide a weekly parent self help program.

    FAP receives funding from NSW Health.
