Mental Health Information

We provide information, support and education to people who are affected by mental illness, or who seek to improve their emotional wellbeing. We achieve this via 3 key programs; Facing Anxiety, Mental Health Promotion, and Mental Health Information.

Mental Health Services

We run the Mental Health Matters Awards, and coordinate Mental Health Month, seminars and conferences.  People can join groups to work on their anxiety, phobias, grief or loss. We can present at your school, community organisation or workplace.

Help us achieve our mission to see a society that accepts the rights of people experiencing a mental illness, and a society that promotes emotional well-being for each and every one of us.

Volunteering can open the door to many possibilities. For some of us, it may be through helping people, for others it's an opportunity to develop skills which could lead to a better job.

At the Mental Health Association we acknowledge that employees, volunteers and students together, are partners working towards the same goal - providing better outcomes for those affected by illness knowing that we are working towards a society that values mental health without stigma or shame.

*There are no volunteering or student placement positions available until February 2012.
