- Fear specific objects or situations such as driving, dogs, spiders, lifts or heights?
- Repeat actions like washing and checking in order to prevent something bad from happening or fear contamination from germs or disease?

About the Self Help Groups
Are you motivated to work on these issues in a structured self-help group? These groups are small and the participants are guided, step by step through a program of gradual exposure to help reduce fears. Participants determine their target for exposure and homework. You are taught how to face up to and control your anxiety, to keep a diary and to deal with possible setbacks.
